Reading more than one book at a time

I remember a time when I would focus on one book and finish it. At least try to finish.

Sometimes the story didn't capture me and I forced myself to finish. I don't like leaving things unfinished. Maybe it will pick up eventually just like TV series or a film. This rarely happened and it got me not enjoying reading when I was younger. It's unfortunate since I loved reading in school and looked forward to the book bus coming to our school and buying new books!

As I get older, I allow myself to not finish a book. I also read more than one but finish chapters before moving on to the next book. My memory is still working so it does pickup where I left off without questions.

I do the same thing with TV series. I juggle a few at a time and at times weeks go by without a viewing. My memory still works.

The one thing I do get frustrated is leaving a game for awhile and I forget the controls. Then I need to start over and re-learn the sequences. I guess I don't follow those plots too in some games that do have a story.

I keep books on my iPhone and iPad using the Libby app and another app called Readest. This other app allows me to read my own ebook collection when I don't have my old Kindle around. I prefer reading using the ereader screen than a shiny sharp color phone screen and less distractions with the ereader.
